• "The Sims 2" gives you a great deal of control over your Sim; you select that Sim's outward appearance such as her face, body shape and clothes, and the Sim's personality such as her traits and favorite foods. Gameplay in the "The Sims 2" mimics the real world; your Sim must go to work, take care of herself, and keep her house clean while maintaining conditions such as her rest and hunger level. In addition to the base game, "The Sims 2" has a total of eight expansion packs, with each expansion pack building upon the world.

The Sims 2 Neat Trait

• One of the traits you can assign to your Sim upon creating him is the Neat trait. When the Neat trait is assigned, your Sim is more inclined to clean up after herself, such as washing her hands after using the toilet or cleaning the dishes immediately after eating. An undocumented feature of the Neat trait is that your Sim occasionally has clean bubbles appear around her while she is cleaning. This is a hidden feature of the Neat trait and is cosmetic only; it just shows that your Sim is working hard at her current cleaning task.

Bubbling Glitch

• When the bubbles appear as a result of the Neat trait, they appear around the Sim and only when cleaning. If bubbles start to appear as if they are coming out of your Sim, are directly on your Sim and you are not cleaning, then your game has suffered a glitch. In general, this glitch can occur when you cancel any action involving bubbles that your Sim was performing, such as taking a bubble bath. The bubbles are cosmetic only but can be distracting, especially if they are covering your Sim's face and body.

Fixing Bubbling Glitch

• When you notice your Sim is afflicted by bubbles, the easiest way to solve the glitch is to save and completely exit the game back to your desktop. Upon restarting the game, the bubbles around your Sim will have vanished. Other ways to remove the bubbles without exiting the game are transitioning your Sim to a new age or taking a swim in a pool. However, if your Sim is not close to aging or does not own a pool, it is quicker to just quit the game and restart.
