Things You'll Need
Instructions
Open "Minecraft" and load the desired world save. Walk through the world to an open area that needs to be at least 7 blocks wide and 7 blocks long.
Scroll through your inventory to either the White Wool or Black Wool blocks and then select whichever you want to build your rook using. Lay down the blocks to create a 7 by 7 block square and then build the square up two blocks high to begin building your rook.
Climb on top of the 7 by 7 block square and then lay down a 5 by 5 block square that's one row. After this row is added, climb on top of the 5 by 5 block square and then lay down another 7 by 7 block square that is three rows high.

Climb on top of the 5 by 5 block square and then lay down one more 7 by 7 block square that's one block high. After this row is added, climb on top of the 7 by 7 block square.
Create four columns on top of the rook to complete the construction. Working clockwise, the first column should be four blocks tall, five blocks wide and centered on the edge of one of the four corners. The second column should be four blocks tall, three blocks wide and centered on the edge of the next corner. The third column should be the same as the first and the fourth column should be the same as the second.
Climb or jump down from your rook to admire your work; your Rook is now complete.
