How to Cut the Balloon on Poptropica

"Poptropica" combines platforming and educational elements to bring a safe and monitored online gaming experience to children and adult fans alike. The "Poptropica" fan base numbers in the millions and enjoys the regular addition of new content. Players travel to various islands, exploring and completing quests and eventually arrive at Cryptids Island, where a man on the rooftop of a local building needs assistance releasing his balloon so he can fly. Before this is done, something to cut the balloon must be obtained.

Instructions

  Travel to the general store after arriving at Cryptids Island and grabbing the five-dollar bill up in the tree next to the bench.

  Speak to the clerk in the store. Select the dialog option "Can I buy something?" Pull up your inventory and choose "Use" beneath the bill from the tree. Select the dialog option "Fine, I'll take a sports drink."

  Leave the store and head right. Walk up to the man in green standing next to a barrel. Pull up your inventory again and select "Use" beneath the sports drink you bought at the store. The man shows his gratitude by handing you gardening shears.

  Head back the way you came until you pass by a man in a flying balloon and stumble across a girl needing a push. Retreat a small distance and break into a run, heading directly toward the girl. The impact from your sprint will give her the push she needs.

  Ascend to the top of the nearby building, and approach the man with the balloon. Pull up your inventory once more and choose to "Use" the gardening shears, which snip the balloon and let the man take off.
