How to Download a Minecraft Bot

The "Minecraft" game allows you to create structures and layouts in an ongoing online and local virtual world. Bots automate functions in the game, but you must first download and install the software to your local computer. Download the bot to the "Plugin" directory in the installation directory for it to load when you start the "Minecraft" software.

  Open a Web browser, navigate to a "Minecraft" bot download page and download a bot (see Resources). Save it to a temporary directory on your computer.

  Click the "Start" button, type "minecraft" in the search text box and press "Enter." A window opens to the "Minecraft" directory.

  Right-click the downloaded bot, select "Extract files..." and select the "Plugin" directory in the "Minecraft" directory.

  Double-click the "Plugin" directory in the Windows Explorer panel you opened in Step 2. Verify that the "Bot" directory exists in your directory.

  Run "Minecraft" to load the new bot.
