"King Arthur: The Role-Playing Wargame"
"King Arthur" was developed by Neocore Games and published on the PC by Paradox Interactive. The game is divided into three parts: a campaign map, where you can plan your next move, a role-playing segment where you can customize each hero's army and the warfare screen, where armies clash against each other in real time. The plot of the game follows Arthur's adventures with some fantasy elements mixed in, such as the ability to command the elements. "King Arthur" features many choices that dictate the plot, such as your religion and whether you are a tyrant or a rightful ruler.
King Mark
King Mark is encountered very early in the game; he is the second knight that players will recruit. Once you control Dumonia, you now have the ability to use King Mark. He is a rightful knight and has ties to Christianity. If you are of the old faith, it is possible to convert King Mark to your side, making him a stronger ally. However, a player who is a tyrant will be at odds with King Mark throughout the game.
Cheats
"King Arthur" offers over 25 cheats that the player can use at any time during the game. These cheats range from finishing your active quest immediately to killing all enemies on the battlefield. In addition, some are cheats designed to increase the strength of your heroes. AddXP allows you to add experience points, making your hero stronger instantly; AddSkill allows you to give a hero any skill in the game. To use these cheats, you must first access the console.
Console
You can access the console at any time during a game. To access the console, press and hold the following three keys: "Ctrl," "Shift" and "1." Once the console is active, press "F1" to view a list of available cheats. Cheats are structured in this way: <cheat name> <target of cheat> <modifier>. For example, to use the AddXP cheat, you would type" AddXP Hero's Name 80" where 80 is the amount of experience points you want to give to the specified hero.
King Mark's Name As a Cheat
When specifying a hero to use a cheat on, it is not as simple as typing in the name, such as King Mark. You must write the name according to the text code the game uses. For heroes, this text code is "gpKing_name" where name is the hero's name in lowercase letters. For King Mark, this text code is "gpKing_mark." Using the previous example, to give King Mark experience points you must enter the phrase "AddXP gpKing_mark 80" to give King Mark 80 experience points instantly.
