How to Get ORBX 1080p Alienware

If you play Microsoft's Flight Simulator X on your Alienware computer, you might not get the full 1080p HD resolution that your computer is capable of without using the FTX add-ons from ORBX. These add-ons give you full 1080p graphics for your simulated flights. Your Alienware computer should automatically display in 1080p when appropriate. If not, you can manually adjust the display settings.

  Go to the Fullterrain website to purchase an FTX add-on from ORBX. You can download the files to your computer or order a DVD. Whichever option you choose, install the add-on to your Flight Simulator X installation on your Alienware computer.

  Click the Windows "Start" button and "Control Panel."

  Click "Adjust Screen Resolution."

  Click the "Resolution" drop-down menu and select a resolution size that has a ratio of 16:9, the required aspect ratio for 1080p. For example, select "1680 x 1050" or "1900 x 1200."

  Click "Apply." Windows will immediately adjust your Alienware computer's screen resolution. If you are satisfied with the resolution displayed, click "Keep."
