How to Import BSA's Into the GECK

To take full advantage of the customization options in "Fallout 3," Bethesda released a program that allows you to create and modify files for the game known as the Garden of Eden Creation Kit, or the GECK. As with all other "Fallout 3" files, you can import BSA files to use in your mod. However, you will need an additional mod to import them: the Fallout Mod Manager.

      Download and install the Fallout Mod Manager. This is a one-of-a-kind program designed to manage the mods you install for "Fallout 3," along with other functions like unpacking BSA files.

      Launch Fallout Mod Manager. Wait a few minutes for the program to fully load.

      Click "BSA Unpacker," followed by "Open." A new dialog box will appear.

      Double-click the BSA file you want to unpack to automatically import it into the GECK.
