How to Use the Bot Chat on ROBLOX

Roblox is a virtual game website where kids construct buildings, scenery and bots of all types. In the game you can interact with other robots in virtual parks and building made by you or by other players. Interaction with these other bots, at times requires the ability to chat. These messages appear as message balloons above your bot, but placing them there requires lower privacy settings, and the use of the Roblox toolbar and keyboard.

Instructions

  Create a Roblox account. Be aware that Roblox makes it safe to play for kids of all ages and sets a Privacy Mode setting for children under the age of 13. This mode locks all chat and robot talk features.

  Ask a parent to receive and change the privacy settings so your robot can talk to others in the game. Roblox sends an email to a user̵7;s parent if he is under the age of 13. Open the email and click the link listed ther to go to the Roblox Parent Control Window. Change the ̶0;Extra Privacy̶1; feature to the ̶0;Off̶1; position in the window that appears.

  Sign in to your account, if your parent no longer has the email. Enter the Parent Control Panel. Ask your parent to enter their username and password information. Locate the Extra Privacy setting and change it to the ̶0;Off̶1; position.

  Close the parent control window. Notice the bottom grey toolbar in the bottom of the Roblox window. Click on the forward slash icon that looks like this ̶0;/:̶1;Type the message you want your bot to say to another player̵7;s bot. Note the message appear in the lower toolbar. Make any edits or changes you want.

  Press the ̶0;Enter̶1; key to place the finished message above your bot.
