A Guide to Items That Give You Boosts in DragonFable

The online game "DragonFable" is a fantasy role-playing game where you take quests and battle monsters to progress the storyline. The game features hundreds of unique items that you can equip to gain boosts to various battle stats and attributes for your characters. Some items provide greater boosts than others, while some have drawbacks that must be taken into consideration. Many items also require that your character is a certain level before he can use them.
  1. Item Types

    • Items that provide boosts come in many different forms, such as weapons, armor and accessories like belts, helms, necklaces, rings, capes and trinkets. Each item provides a boost to one or more of your attributes, including strength, intelligence, endurance and luck, as well as your offensive and defensive stats including melee, blocking, parrying, critical hits and damage. You have to equip most of these items to take advantage of their boosts, but some items are not capable of being equipped, such as reagents that you use in alchemy training to increase the amount of hit points and mana points your health and mana potions heal.

    Find Items

    • There are many ways to get items in "DragonFable." Some items are earned by completing quests, where after defeating enemies in battle, they leave items for you to pick up. These items are often random and may be weapons, armor or accessories, and the level and type of boost provided by those items differs. You can also visit various characters in the towns throughout the game and purchase items from them directly. Some of these items cost you gold, while others require you to go on a quest to gather materials needed to create an item.

    Equip Items

    • To use items with boosts, you must first equip them. Equip items by clicking your backpack, selecting the item from your inventory and then clicking "Equip." This applies all the boosts associated with the item to your character. However, you can only have one of each accessory equipped at a time. For example, if you have equipped one necklace, equipping another removes the first necklace, including its boosts, while applying the boosts associated with the second necklace to your character. You can equip items both in and out of battle.

    Considerations

    • While some items in "DragonFable" provide a boost to some attributes, equipping the same item might cause a decline in others. For example, wearing the Bitter Ring increases your ability to resist ice damage by three points but it takes away two health points. When you equip items that will have affect multiple attributes in different ways, make sure the boosts outweigh the drawbacks for your specific character class and that the combination of items you have equipped don't have too great of a combined negative impact on any one attribute.
