Double Stuff
You get double points for your Doodle training during an invasion. During an invasion, take a few moments to have your Doodle do tricks, and you'll train more quickly and more easily. Be sure to practice with your Doodle before an invasion so that you can do a trick quickly then get back to helping your teammates defeat a Cog. Doodles also get the additional points in buildings that Toons do, so take your Doodle into buildings with you and practice tricks there.
Membership Has Privileges
You can play Toontown for free or as a subscriber by paying a monthly fee. Of course, paid members have bonuses and benefits available to them, including the benefit of better Doodles. For example, those playing Toontown for free can only purchase Doodles at Toontown Central. These Doodles are the least-expensive ones to buy, but also have the most negative personality traits and are the most difficult to train. Paid members can purchase Doodles at any of the playgrounds. Doodles are more trainable and better behaved as you progress through the game. Doodles purchased at Donald's Dreamland train the most quickly and have the best personality traits.
Trade Up
Consider purchasing a Doodle from Toontown Central to save money and begin getting the feel of training a Doodle. Prices in Toontown Central begin at about 200 jellybeans in cost. Buy a cheap Doodle to start, then save the 5,000 beans it costs for a Doodle in Donald's Dreamland. Once you get there, you can trade in the less-expensive Doodle and get a new one that is easier to train. With your previous experience, you'll know how to train more efficiently.
Compliments
Doodles respond better to training and learn tricks more quickly if you combine their training phrases with compliments. A happy Doodle learns best. "Say" the name of the trick while trying to have your Doodle complete it, then use any of the happy Doodle phrases. Some of the best are "You look nice," "You are awesome!" "You rock!" "You are a genius!" and "Thanks!" You also can use hello or happy Speedchat phrases to improve the Doodle training.
