Update Graphics Card Drivers
Outdated graphics card drivers are a major cause of "Bejeweled 2 Deluxe" failing to display properly. If the game screen looks too large or too small, or if part of the screen is cut off, updating your drivers often fixes the problem. If you don't know the manufacturer of your graphics card, click the Windows orb and then type "dxdiag" in the search box. Press "Enter." Click the "Display" tab to see the graphics card manufacturer and model number. Go online and search for the manufacturer's website. Navigate to the website's download area and search for your card's model number. The latest drivers are displayed. Download and install them to your computer and run the game again.
Change the Screen Resolution
If after you update your graphics card drivers the game still doesn't display properly, change the screen resolution. Quit the game, if it's running. Right-click on the game's icon and then click "Properties." Click on the "Compatibility" tab. Click the check box to run the game in 640-by-480 resolution. Click on "OK." Some monitors also have buttons that let you change the display. If your monitor has buttons that change its settings, look for settings like "Fill," "Aspect" and "1:1."
Game Does Not Run
If "Bejeweled 2 Deluxe" doesn't run at all, your computer may not allow the program to make temporary changes to its settings. To fix this, run the game in Compatibility Mode. Right-click on the "Bejeweled 2 Deluxe" icon. Click on "Trouble Shoot Compatibility" and then click "Try Recommended Settings." Click on "Start the Program." Click on the blinking shield icon at the bottom of the screen. Click "Yes." If the game launches, click "Yes, save these settings for this program." If it doesn't, click "No, try again using different settings." Select different settings and click "Start playing." Keep changing the settings until the game works.
Game Crashes
If "Bejeweled 2 Deluxe" crashes frequently, restart your computer. If this doesn't fix the crashing, shut down all other programs before you run the game, including your Internet browser. Other programs make the computer run slower, and on an older computer this causes the game to crash. Updating DirectX often fixes crashing. Navigate to the Microsoft website and download and install the latest version of DirectX, and then run the game again. If this doesn't correct the problem, uninstall and reinstall the game.
