How to Change the Terrain in DotA

The extremely popular "Warcraft III" mod "Defense of the Ancients" challenges players to compete in teams of five on a single map with static terrain. Some players, after hundreds of hours of "DotA" matches, become tired of seeing the same colors and textures game after game. Fortunately, you can alter the appearance of the map by activating alternate terrain types. By changing the textures frequently, you can continue playing "DotA" without the game getting stale.

     Download the DotA Theme Manager from neutralcreeps.com.

     Open the ZIP or RAR file containing DotA Theme Manager and place the files in your "Warcraft III" directory.

     Close "Warcraft III" and the map editor.

     Run "DTMV4.exe" and select your preferred terrain type from the menu.

     Play "DotA" normally to experience the altered terrain.
