How to: Private Chats in JK2

LucasArts' Jedi Knight 2 PC game features a variety of multiplayer game modes that allow you to use the Force in teams or in free-for-all matches. When playing a multiplayer game, you may want to send a private communique to a teammate or whisper some last words to an enemy that you're about to vanquish. You can use the Jedi Knight 2 console to enter whisper mode and send the target player a message that only he can read.

     Run the Jedi Knight 2 game.

     Walk up to the player that you wish to send a private message to. Align the screen so that the player is in your crosshairs.

     Press the "T" key and then press the "TAB" key to open the Jedi Knight 2 console.

     Type "messagemode3" in the console, followed by the message that you wish to chat.

   • 5

     Press the Enter key. Only the targeted player receives your message.
