Mounts
Wild Hunters are able to obtain jaguars as mounts starting from level 10. You can choose the color -- black, purple, blue, red or brown -- for your mount when you receive it. To obtain your mount, you must complete a quest that requires you to weaken and tame it. While mounted, you will move faster than on foot. You can also use potions and skills to attack while on your jaguar. After the second job advancement, you can use a skill that injures enemies with the roar of your jaguar.
Skills
Unlike other classes, you can max all the skills that are available as a Wild Hunter. This means you do not have to reserve skills points for specific skills, and the order of your skill build is not as important as other classes. Wild Hunters have a skill to boost the effectiveness of their crossbows. In addition to this, the "Triple shot" skill enables you to fire three arrows at your target simultaneously. For the first job, Wild Hunters have fewer skills than other classes.
Capturing Monsters
With skills such as "Capture" and "Call of the Hunter," you can capture monsters and then later summon them to aid you. You cannot capture monsters that are higher-level than your character or bosses. "Capture" is the skill you must have in order to first acquire your jaguar. Should you capture another jaguar, it will replace your first mount.
Location
Because the Wild Hunter is part of The Resistance, quests take place in Edelstein, a location that was added after the "Big Bang" plot changes. According to the "MapleStory" website, this quiet town was forgotten about by Explorers and Cygnus Knights for hundreds of years. Only after the rise of the Black Mage, who was born in Edelstein, did Wild Hunters and Battle Mages become known once more. The classes of The Resistance exist to defend their home town against the influence of the Black Mage.
