Tips for How to Delete a Garden in Viva Pinata

Players are limited only by the amount of free hard drive space they have when it comes to saving gardens in "Viva Pinata." Each time a player elects to load a garden, however, every one of those saved files loads on the Load Garden petal. If you have many gardens, it may be difficult to remember which is your current garden or which garden is whose, if more than one player uses the game.
  1. Keeping Track

    • Keep track of the names of your various gardens or the nature of your gardens on a notepad. Note their age, what types of plants they contain and which pinatas you have attracted. Listing details, such as these, will help to distinguish valuable gardens from forgettable ones.

    The Xbox Dashboard

    • Console gamers interested in deleting a garden can simply go to the Xbox System Dashboard. Select "Memory" then go to "Games." From there, you can choose which gardens you'd like to delete.

    Windows

    • If you play Viva Pinata on the Windows Games platform in Windows XP, your save files are located in this directory: C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Saved Games\Microsoft Games\Viva Pinata\Saves. You can visit this location any time and delete a garden file. If you have Windows Vista or Windows 7, your save files are here: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Saved Games\Microsoft Games\Viva Pinata\Saves.

    The Tower of Sour

    • Unless you want to delete all of your information for your gardens, don't delete the Tower of Sour file found among your other garden files regardless of which platform you're using to play the game. This is a general file that records income, inventory and other administrative statistics and, if deleted, will cause your gardens to become corrupted.
