How to Use Flares and Launchers in BFBC2 for PC

"Battlefield: Bad Company 2" lets you use smoke flares to avoid homing missiles and use either RPGs or grenade launchers to deal large amounts of damage to your enemies. Smoke flares can only be used if you're in a helicopter, and RPGs or grenade launchers can be used either while you're in certain vehicles or on foot. None of these items are particularly difficult to use, and perfecting your skills at them will make your game substantially easier.

Instructions

  Get into a helicopter, and press "W" to ascend off the ground. Wait until you hear an increasing beeping sound to indicate that a missile is approaching your location. Right-click the mouse to drop a smoke flare right before the missile reaches your location to disable its homing signal.

  Press "1" or "2" to cycle between your available weapons. Keep cycling until you come across an RPG or a grenade launcher. You'll find the grenade launcher in the second mission and the RPG in the third mission. Some vehicles also have grenade launchers attached to them. If you're using one of those grenade launchers, just skip ahead to the next step.

  Press the right mouse button to aim your RPG or grenade launcher; then press the left mouse button to fire.
