How to Play Tribes of the East on the PC

"Tribes of the East" is an expansion pack for the fifth installment of the "Heroes of Might and Magic" turn-based strategy game series. The expansion pack, released in 2007, adds an additional faction and three brand-new campaigns to the original game, and it includes bug fixes and redesigned spell interfaces. Because "Tribes of the East" is not a stand-alone game, you need the primary game installed on your PC to access the gameplay features and updates of the expansion pack.

  Insert the "Heroes of Might and Magic V" disc into your computer. Click the "Install" button to begin the program installer. Select a location to install the game and verify that you have enough hard disk space for the game files. Click to agree to the terms and conditions to begin the installation.

  Eject the "Heroes of Might and Magic V" disc and insert the disc for "Tribes of the East." Follow the on-screen instructions once again to install the game. Leave the disc in the drive after installation.

  Double-click the "Tribes of the East" icon to open the program launcher. Click "Play" to begin the expansion's opening movie and developer credits. You can skip these videos by pressing Enter or Esc.

  Start a new campaign to begin the story of "Tribes of the East." The game is told through three separate campaigns that contribute to one overarching storyline.
