How to Make a Brick House on Minecraft

Collect clay from mining. Clay appears as blueish-grey blocks, typically found around water sources or on the side of cliffs.

Build a furnace by placing eight cobblestone blocks in the crafting grid. Place the furnace on the ground in a convenient location.

Collect a fuel source, such as wood or coal, to place in the furnace. Right-click on the furnace and place the clay in the top block space and the fuel source in the bottom block space. It will take some time to smelt all the clay into bricks.

Place four clay bricks in the crafting grid to make a single brick block. Steps 1 through 4 may need to be repeated several times in order to create the number brick blocks required for a house.

Clear a land space for your house, flattening it and removing objects from the area.

Start the foundation by using dirt blocks to make an outline of the house, since brick blocks are more expensive and difficult to remove once placed. If you mess up or need to change anything, dirt blocks will make it easier to do so.

Start replacing each dirt block with a brick block. After replacing all dirt blocks, begin pilling more brick blocks on top of each other to make the walls of your house. Stacking about three or four brick blocks on top of each other makes for a good first floor, but go higher if you want to make multiple floors.

Place brick blocks, or any other block type you want, in from the top of the walls to create the roof of the house.

Take out your pickax and remove a two block high, one block wide space for the door. Remove any blocks you want to create windows as well.
