How to Make & Get Dyes in Sims 2: Castaway?

"Sims 2: Castaway" is a console spin-off from the Sims 2 series, released on Nintendo DS, PSP, PS2, Wii and PS3. In it, players control a contingent of stranded Sims in a quest to discover more about their surroundings, work together to survive and eventually, build a comfortable settlement on the islands on which they̵7;re stranded. One of your mid-game goals is to manufacture clothing, which requires you to learn how to make dye.

Instructions

  Go to the Ampitheatre and switch to the crew mate with the highest "Body Skill" rating (which should be 10, at least). Perform the Cliff Dive, and you'll unlock another piece of the map and plans for making dye.

  Set one or two of your crewmates to the "Gathering" task, so they pick plants and flowers for dyeing.These are mostly located on the third island ̵2; the island with the volcano.

  Go to your crafting bench and switch to a crew member with a "Creativity Skill" of at least seven. Select "Special Plans" and scroll down to dyes. The names that aren't grayed out are the dyes you have the requisite materials to make. Click these dye names to create them and add them to your resource pool.
