How to Enter the Half-Life: Blue Shift Cheat Menu

In "Half-Life: Blue Shift," a physics experiment gone wrong tears a hole between two dimensions at the Black Mesa research facility. You play as Barney, one of the few security guards left alive after alien creatures emerge from the hole to prey on what humans they can find. If you are having trouble fending off the alien invasion, you can enter cheat codes that give you extra health and more powerful weapons or allow you to skip levels. To enter cheat codes, you must first pull up the cheat menu.

     Click "Start." Type "cmd" into the search box at the bottom of the screen. Press "Enter" to open the command prompt.

     Type "bshift.exe -dev -console" into the command line. Press "Enter." This allows you to use the cheat menu. The game loads automatically.

     Press the "~" key when you want to enter a cheat. Type "sv_cheats 1" (excluding the quotation marks) to turn on cheat mode.

     Type your desired cheat code. It appears at the top of the screen as you type. Press "Enter" to activate the cheat.
