Physical Appearance
The Juggernaut is an enemy that is both very tall and very wide. It wears a full-body suit of armor that is similar to bomb squad attire. Around the shoulders, it has a raised section of armor that protects it from sniper shots to the head and neck. It wears a helmet with a mask attached that is similar in design to a gas mask. The Juggernaut carries a M240 machine gun and a shotgun in battle, but only uses one at a time.
Battle Tactics
In battle, Juggernauts prefer to charge at opponents, ignoring obvious points of cover. This is in stark contrast to most of the enemies in the game, and if you are not prepared for it, the Juggernaut will catch you off-guard. In fact, a Juggernaut will only seek cover or retreat if you severely damage it, though it will not always do so. It is important to note that a Juggernaut will use its M240 machine gun from range, but will switch to its shotgun when it closes in. The shotgun is a deadly short-range weapon, and this circumstance should be avoided at all costs.
Strategy for Engaging
If at all possible, you want to engage the Juggernaut from range with a powerful sniper rifle such as the Barrett .50 caliber. With the Barrett, you can bring the Juggernaut down with three to five shots. Failing that, you can bring one down with five to six rounds from a grenade launcher. Note that you have only a few seconds to bring a Juggernaut down once you fire at it. As soon as you do, it will charge, attempting to close the distance. If you engage a Juggernaut with an assault rifle you will likely fall victim to its shotgun because you will have to hit it with around eighty rounds before it will go down. The Juggernaut can close the gap between the two of you well before you can fire that many shots.
Appearances
You can find the Juggernaut enemy in "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2," "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3" and in "Call of Duty: Black Ops." The Juggernaut does not appear as frequently in Black Ops as it does in the other two games. Specific Special Ops missions in which you can find the Juggernaut include "High Explosive," "Armor Piercing," "Snatch & Grab" and "Estate Takedown." When you do encounter the Juggernaut in these ops, he is likely to be surrounded by weaker enemies. Taking the Juggernaut down first should be your top priority. If you finish off the weaker enemies first, you will give him time to close in on your position.
