How to Calculate Limestone Reserves in Dwarf Fortress

In "Slaves to Armok: God of Blood Chapter II: Dwarf Fortress," your dwarves embark to establish a new city for their parent civilization. To ensure your civilization's survival, you must be up to speed on all of your reserves, such as the stone supplies. To check on a specific stone's reserves, you must have a bookkeeper set to the highest precision. Once the bookkeeper has had time to calculate the stocks, you can check the number in the stocks menu.

Instructions

    • 1

Press "N" to display the nobles menu. Use the arrow keys to highlight "Bookkeeper," the final option in the list. If the position is vacant, press "Enter" and select a dwarf to take the job.

    • 2

Press "S" while highlighting the bookkeeper position to open the settings for that job. Highlight the final option, "Highest Precision," and press "Enter."

    • 3

Press "Esc" twice to return to the game. Press "B" and "C" to begin building a chair. Press "Enter" wherever you want to place the chair. Press "Q" and highlight the chair, and then press "R." Select "Assign," followed by the name of the dwarf acting as the bookkeeper. This defines the chair as an office, required for the bookkeeper to complete his task.

    • 4

Wait for the bookkeeper to begin and finish calculating the stocks. The exact amount of time this takes will vary depending on his record-keeping skill and whether he is already performing a task.

    • 5

Press "Z" when the bookkeeper is finished. Use the arrow keys to select "Stocks," and then press "Enter." Highlight "Stone" to display the specific types of stone on the right-hand side of the window. If you have limestone, it will be listed here along with the exact number you have in the reserves.
