How to Make a Map in Blockland

Blockland is an online multiplayer game allowing you to build things with various materials. It has been compared to playing with blocks or other building toys, but on the Internet in an interactive way instead of on the living room carpet. As you increase your skill level, you can build bigger and bigger projects. For each level you complete you can build a map of what you created if you download a Blockland modification for mapping.

Instructions

  Download a map builder such as ̶0;Torque Constructor,̶1; Cemetech maps or Gamershell maps. There are many different map building programs that exist for both Blockland and Return to Blockland, as well as already built maps that you can use as is or alter as you choose.

  Use your chosen decompression file to unzip the application once it has been downloaded to your system.

  Walk through the steps of installing the new modification or ̶0;mod.̶1; Open the Blockland game and follow the prompts through linking the map builder to the game.

  Press the ̶0;F1̶1; key to open up the various modification choices and choose ̶0;Maps.̶1; From here you can begin building your own map or you can download other maps.

  Adjust the sizes and shapes of objects on your map by clicking and dragging the edges to the right sizes. The program will prompt you to save your changes with every new step.

  Save your map when you have completed it. You can upload it so others can use the map you created.

  Open a new map file and build an entirely new map as many times as you like.
