How to Skip the Opening on the Character Creator on Dragon Age

Before the initial release of "Dragon Age: Origins," developer BioWare announced a character creator available for download from their official website. The program allowed players who planned to purchase the game for the PC to preview a video of the game and walk through a complete character creation. Upon the game's release, the character created became fully playable, allowing the player to jump right into the game. If you want to create several characters, however, repeating the introductory video might become tiresome.

     Press the "Esc" key during the video playback to skip to the full character creator.

     Open the character creator folder on your computer. Enter the "\packages\core\data\movies" directory. Rename or delete the "dragon_age_main" BLK file to permanently disable the opening video.

     Press and hold "Ctrl," "Alt" and "Delete" during the opening to open the Task Manager. Disable the video player to skip the video intro for the character creator.
