What Level Cooking Do You Need to Not Burn Sharks in RuneScape?

Sharks are one of the many food sources in the massively multiplayer role-playing game "RuneScape." Like other food items, sharks can be cooked, but they are unusually tricky; they require a high Cooking skill to cook at all, and special equipment to cook correctly. Once a player has raised his Cooking skill to the necessary level and obtained the Cooking Gauntlets, he can successfully cook and eat sharks.
  1. Basic Cooking

    • To cook sharks at all, you'll require a Cooking skill of 80. Unfortunately, no matter how high you raise your Cooking skill, cooking a shark will always result in burning the meat, creating a useless item with no nutritional and negligible financial value.

    Cooking Gauntlets

    • The Cooking Gauntlets are a reward for players who complete the Family Crest quest in the paid "members-only" version of "RuneScape." If you're a member, you can receive the quest from Dimintheis Fitzharmon in the southeast corner of the city of Varrock. Once you've completed it, you'll be offered a choice of gauntlets, including the Cooking Gauntlets.

    Unburned Sharks

    • Once you have the Gauntlets, you'll still need a Cooking skill of 94 or higher to avoid burning sharks. Equip the gauntlets as a piece of apparel, then cook the shark normally. After four game ticks have passed, you have a cooked, unburned shark in your inventory.

    Effects

    • Cooked sharks contribute 210 experience points in Cooking when created, and restore 200 life points when consumed. They can also be sold at market. Their price fluctuates along with all other items in "RuneScape," but it is generally fairly high, in line with the usefulness and difficulty of creating the item.
