How to Make WoW Use More GPU

"World of Warcraft" tries to immerse players in a gaming world full of monsters, weapons, armor and mounts, as well as cities, buildings and landscapes. Game developers try to make the world as detailed as possible through video graphics. If you would like to see more detail in "World of Warcraft," you can adjust the video settings. Increasing the graphics settings will cause the computer's GPU, or graphics processing unit, to use more processing power.

  Start "World of Warcraft." Click on any character to enter the game world.

  Click the "Esc" key or the icon that looks like a computer in the bottom right corner of the screen to open the Game Menu. Click "Options."

  Click on "Ultra" on the "Graphics" bar to set "Textures," "Effects" and "Environment" to maximum. Alternatively, you can alter individual settings using the pull-down menus.

  Click on the "Resolution" pull-down menu to adjust the screen resolution setting.

  Click on the "Multisampling" pull-down menu to adjust this setting. Multisampling is a form of anti-aliasing, which attempts to smooth jagged edges by adding pixels.
