How to Use the Car Radio in GMod Easy Engine

"GMod," or Garry's Mod, is a sandbox-style game that runs off the Source physics engine. Players are allowed to use items and NPCs (non-player characters) from "Half-Life 2" and other Valve games to create objects, vehicles or scenarios. Easy Engine is a GMod add-on that allows the user to easily create vehicles and add features to them, such as a radio, horn, lights, fuel tank and supercharger. To use a radio with Easy Engine you will first need to connect a battery to the engine of your vehicle.

Instructions

    • 1

Load "GMod" with the Easy Engine add-on installed into your game directory, located on your main hard drive in the "Program Files" folder.

    • 2

Enter a game and open the creation menu, pressing "Q," and click on the props tab. Select a vehicle prop, such as a car, and load it into the game.

    • 3

Open the creation menu again and select the "Easy Engine" tab, then select one of the engine types to spawn into the game. Select the no-collide tool from the creation menu and use it to place the engine into the vehicle body. Select the weld tool from the creation menu and weld the engine to the vehicle frame.

    • 4

Spawn a battery from the "Easy Engine" tab in the creation menu. Select the control gun and use it to touch the engine with the battery. You will then see a wire connecting the engine and battery.

    • 5

Weld the battery to the body of the vehicle.

    • 6

Open the creation menu and spawn a radio from the "Easy Engine" tab. Touch the engine with the radio, using the control gun. Weld the radio to the body of the vehicle near the driver's seat.

    • 7

Enter the vehicle and press the reload button ̵2; default "R" ̵2; while the radio is selected. This will turn the radio on. Press "R" again to change the stations; there are eight stations available.
