How to Calculate How Much Money You Need to Level Up in RuneScape

"Runescape" is a free-to-play massively multiplayer online role-playing game. Players adventure across a large open world, and have the opportunity to level up their skills by performing certain skill-related actions. For example, the "Woodcutting" skill can be increased by cutting down different trees and roots. Certain skills require you to use resources created by increasing other skills. For instance, "Fletching" is increased through the use of logs, and logs are obtained through using the "Woodcutting" skill. Resources like logs can also be purchased from other players using in-game currency. This system allows players to calculate how much money it would take to level up a particular skill.

     Choose a skill to level up.

     Use a "RuneScape" skill calculator Web page to figure out how much of your chosen resource is required to level up. For example, if your chosen skill was cooking, you would need to cook three Crayfish to get to level 2.

     Use the "Grand Exchange" menu at Runescape.com to find your chosen item. Continuing the cooking example, you would enter "Crayfish" in the search bar.

     Multiply the item's "Guide Price" by how many you need to get to your chosen level. To reach cooking level 2, you would need three Crayfish, and the "Grand Exchange" lists their guide price as 11 GP. So you would need 33 GP to buy enough Crayfish to reach cooking level 2.
