How to Lay Water Pipes in SimCity 4

"SimCity 4" lets you build and manage a completely modern city, much like previous entries in the "SimCity" series. One of the basic aspects of building a city is laying enough water pipes to satisfy all of your citizens. The act of placing the water pipes is fairly simple, but you do have to remember to avoid laying them under dirty industrial or agricultural areas to prevent water contamination.

      Select "Build Water Systems" from the Utility Tools menu.

      Click on "Water Pipes" to begin installing them. Press the "Page Up" button to rotate a pipe counterclockwise; press the "Page Down" button to rotate a pipe clockwise.

      Click on the section of the map where you'd like to lay the water pipe to place it. Water pipes have a radius of six game tiles; everything within that radius will be connected to the pipes.
