How to Make a Tibia OT Server

"Tibia" is a massively multiplayer computer video game that allows gamers to explore a fantasy world while leveling up their characters. Creating an open "Tibia" server allows you to play in a closed environment with your friends instead of playing on one of the official "Tibia" servers with strangers. You can create your own open "Tibia" server by downloading and setting up a "Tibia" server package.

  Download one of the many open "Tibia" server packages that are available online (see Resources). Right-click on the file once you have downloaded it and select "Extract" to extract the files contained in the archive into a new folder on your hard drive.

  Launch Notepad, the Windows text editor. Click on "File," select "Open" and locate the "config.lua" file, which is inside the folder that you previously extracted. Click on the "Open" button to load the file into Notepad.

  Scroll down until you see 'ip = "127.0.0.1"'. Replace "127.0.0.1" with the actual Internet protocol (IP) address of your computer. Then click on "File" and select "Save."

  Double-click on the executable file in your extracted server folder. An executable file always has an ".exe" file extension. Double-clicking on the file will automatically start your new open "Tibia" server.
