How to Run RCT3 without a Graphics Card

Computer gaming is a technology that advances quite rapidly; unfortunately, this means that modern games often require a separate graphics card to render visual effects. If a computer lacks such a graphics card, it may not be capable of running graphics-intensive games; this is usually due to a lack of support for certain programs -- such as DirectX -- or an inability to provide advanced visual effects like pixel shading. However, there is a way to work around this so that you do not have to invest in a new computer or video card to run Roller Coaster Tycoon 3.

Instructions

  Download "3D Analyzer" and save it to your desktop. Double click on "dontlinkthefile_3danalyzer-v236.exe" and follow the on-screen installation instructions. An icon will appear on your desktop once the installation is complete.

  Double-click on the 3D Analyzer icon to take you to the main screen. Press the large "Select" button. A pop-up screen will appear listing all your drives and folders. Select "Computer," "Drive C:" and choose the folder in which "Roller Coaster Tycoon 3" is installed. Double-click on the game's main executable file (which will be labeled "rct3.exe" or something similar). You will be taken back to the 3D Analyzer main screen.

  Press the "Run" button and "Roller Coaster Tycoon 3" will launch, allowing you to play the game without a graphics card.
