How Can I Make Base Icons for Naruto Games on BYOND?

BYOND is a free program that serves as a multi-function tool by which players can create a role-playing game. With such accessibility, many gamers attempt to replicate popular aspects of other games, such as ̶0;Pokemon̶1; or ̶0;Naruto.̶1; While BYOND gives players all of the tools they need to create elements of the game, it does not perform the artistic creative processes necessary to create icons or other sprites. Aspiring game designers with little artistic talent can still create recognizable ̶0;Naruto̶1; icons.

Instructions

  Search for icons or sprite icons from free sprite resources online, such as the Spriters-Resource website.

  Search the database for ̶0;Naruto̶1; images, and save the image to the desktop.

  Open the image in Microsoft Paint or another image-editing software.

  Drag the mouse over the object to define the borders and size of the icon. Copy the image by pressing the ̶0;Ctrl̶1; and ̶0;C̶1; keys.

  Open BYOND dream editing program.

  Create a new environment.

  Paste the copied image into BYOND by pressing the ̶0;Ctrl̶1; and ̶0;V̶1; keys.

  Drag the image so that its bottom-most pixel is flush with the bottom border of the image window.

  Center the image to the right so that it is centered in the middle of the field.

  Select the ̶0;flood̶1; tool and then click on all of the empty white space surrounding the image to remove the empty white space.

  Save the image. The icon will now be accessible in any BYOND game that you create.
