How to Insert a Morph Into Sim Clothing

"The Sims 3" computer game allows players to add a variety of items in a virtual world, giving the virtual people new ways to interact and activities to participate in. This includes clothing, which can be purchased from the Sims store. Gamers that want further customization can make clothing and other items using a variety of digital design tools. These gamer-made items are called "morphs" and their extension is ".package". They're available for download from many user-generated sites. Inserting a morph into your Sims clothing list requires some tweaking of the folder files that the game uses to function.

  Double-click on the "Sims 3" icon to open the game launcher. Click "Game Updates" and following the on-screen instructions to update your game with the latest patches to ensure that your morph will work correctly.

  Click on the "Computer" icon, click "Documents," click "Electronic Arts," and then click "The Sims 3."

  Click on the "Framework Setup" download link and then save the file in "The Sims 3" folder that you navigate to.

  Double-click on the "FrameworkSetup.zip" to unpack the files into "The Sims 3" folder. This creates a folder called "Mods." Double-click on the "Mods" folder to reveal a folder called "Overrides," a folder called "Packages" and a file called "Resource.cfg."

  Double-click the "Packages" folder to open it. Next, click on your clothing package and then drag it into the "Packages" folder. Alternatively, right-click on the clothing package and select "copy," then right-click inside the "Packages" folder and select "Paste." Place all morphs in this folder.

  Launch the game and then navigate to your clothing to see the new options.
