How to Control Your Comrade in Fallout: New Vegas

When you play "Fallout: New Vegas," you can recruit a variety of comrades who will follow you around, assisting you in battle and helping you to achieve your missions. These comrades are computer controlled, but you can still choose what general actions they take, such as how far away from you they fight in combat and what weapons they use.

Instructions

      Walk up to your comrade and press the "E" button to open the action wheel.

      Select the upper left option to control whether your comrade uses ranged or melee weapons; click on the option to toggle between the two types of fighting.

      Select the middle left option to control whether your comrade follows you at a near or far distance.

    • 4

      Select the lower left option to command your comrade to back up from you.
