How to Crossfeed in FS9

Microsoft's "Flight Simulator 2004: A Century of Flight," also known as "FS9," simulates the experience of piloting an aircraft by providing realistic controls and forcing you to manage the metrics of your plane. Most of the planes in the game rely upon both of their wings to provide fuel to the engine. If one of the wings of your plane malfunctions and stops providing fuel to the engine, the plane will become unsteady and dangerous. To avert these problems, you can cross feed the fuel from one wing to the malfunctioning wing.

Instructions

    • 1

Push the fuel thrusters of your plane as high as they will go. The thrusters will need a lot of force to push fuel through both wings with only one fuel supply.

    • 2

Turn the "Cross Feed" dial to the "On" position for the wing that is functioning properly. The dial is directly underneath the fuel throttles.

    • 3

Turn the "Cross Feed" dial to the receiving position ̵2; the white box that has a line running to it from the "On" position of the opposite "Cross Feed" dial ̵2; on the wing that has a broken fuel line. The wing will immediately begin receiving fuel from the opposite wing, which will dramatically reduce the time you can stay in the air but will increase the plane's stability.
