Mass Effect 2 Anomaly Planets

In Bioware's "Mass Effect 2," players have the ability to explore the far reaches of the galaxy. Different star systems can be accessed in "Clusters," which serve as hubs with several smaller planetary systems. Some planets contain useful resources, while others serve as mission locations. A third planetary type are anomaly planets. These anomaly planets are often related to missions and side quests.
  1. Serpent and Eagle Nebulae

    • The Boltzmann system has the Serpent Nebula's single anomaly planet -- Bekenstein. This planet relates to Kasumi's loyalty quest "Mission: Kasumi: Stealing Memory." This system can only be unlocked by completing the DLC mission "Mission: Dossier: The Master Thief." The Eagle Nebula has a single anomaly planet -- Neith, in the Amun system. This planet is related to the side quest "Assignment: N7: Wrecked Merchant Freighter."

    Omega and Hourglass Nebulae

    • The Omega Nebula has two anomaly planets -- Alchera in the Amada system and Lorek in the Fathar system. Alchera relates to the side quest "Assignment: Normandy Crash Site̶1; and requires the Normandy Crash Site DLC. Lorek relates to the side quest "Assignment: N7: Lost Operative." The Hourglass Nebula has two anomaly planets -- Darator in the Faryor system and Zanethu in the Ploitari system. Darator is related to the side quest "Assignment: N7: Eclipse Smuggling Depot," while Zanethu is related to the side quest "Assignment: MSV Estevanico."

    Titan Nebula and Skrike Abyssal

    • The Titan Nebula's lone system Hoskins hosts its only planet, Capek. Capek relates to the side quest "Assignment: N7: Hahne-Kedar Facility." This system can only be unlocked after completing the side quest "Assignment: N7: Abandoned Research Station." The Skrike Abyssal cluster has a single anomaly planet -- Zada Ban, in the Xe Cha system. This planet relates to the side quest "Assignment: N7: Blood Pack Base" and can be unlocked by completing the side quest "Assignment: N7: Blood Pack Communications Relay" or by purchasing a star chart at Baria Frontiers on the planet Ilium.

    Crescent Nebula

    • The Crescent Nebula hosts two anomaly planets -- Helyme in the Zelene system, and Tarith in the Lusarn system. Zelene relates to the side quest "Assignment: N7: Captured Mining Facility," while Tarith relates to the side quest "Assignment: N7: Blood Pack Communications Relay." This cluster and all related systems and planets are only unlocked by completing the "Mission: Horizon" quest.

    Rosetta Nebula

    • The Rosetta Nebula hosts two anomaly planets -- Joab in the Enoch system and Aeia in the Alpha Draconis system. Joab relates to the side quest "Assignment: N7: Archeological Dig Site," while Aeia is the setting for Jacob's loyalty quest, "Mission: Jacob: The Gift of Greatness." This cluster and all related planets are unlocked by accepting Jacob's loyalty quest.

    Minos Wasteland and Pylos Nebula

    • The Minos Wasteland has a single anomaly planet -- Aequitas in the Fortis system. It relates to the side quest "Assignment: N7: Abandoned Mine." The Minos Wasteland is unlocked by purchasing a star chart at Baria Frontiers on Ilium. The Pylos Nebula has a single anomaly planet -- Canalus in the Dirada system. Canalus relates to the side quest "Assignment: N7: Anomalous Weather Detected" and is unlocked by purchasing a star chart from Baria Frontiers on Ilium.

    Hades Nexus

    • The Hades Nexus cluster has two anomaly planets -- Gei Hinnom in the Sheol system, and Kopis in the Hoplos system. Gei Hinnom relates to the side quest "Assignment: N7: Quarian Crash Site," while Kopis relates to the side quest "Assignment: Project Firewalker: Prothean Ruins." The cluster is unlocked by purchasing a star chart at Baria Frontiers on Ilium or by completing the side quest "Assignment: Project Firewalker: Volcano Station."

    Caleston Rift

    • There are a total of three anomaly planets in the Caleston Rift -- Taitus in the Talava system, Sinmara in the Solveig system and Karumto in the Yakawa system. Taitus relates to the side quest "Assignment: N7: Mining the Canyon," while Sinmara relates to the side quest "Assignment: N7: Endangered Research Station." The planet Karumto relates to the side quest "Assignment: Project Firewalker: Volcano Station." The Caleston Rift cluster is unlocked by completing the quest "Mission: Collector Ship" or side quest "Assignment: Project Firewalker: Rosalie Lost."

    Hawking Eta and Phoenix Massing

    • The Hawking Eta cluster has only a single anomaly planet -- Corang in the Verr system. This planet relates to the side quest "Assignment: Project Firewalker: Survey Sites Located" and is unlocked by the completion of the side quest "Assignment: Project Firewalker: Rosalie Lost." The Phoenix Massing cluster has a single anomaly planet -- Lattesh in the Chomos system. Lattesh relates to the side quest "Assignment: Project Firewalker: Geth Activity" and is unlocked by completing the side quest "Assignment: Project Firewalker: Rosalie Lost."

    Sigurd's Cradle and Ismar Frontier

    • The Sigurd's Cradle cluster contains two anomaly planets -- Franklin in the Skepsis system, and Sanctum in the Decoris system. The planet Franklin relates to the side quest "Assignment: N7: Javelin Missiles Launched," while Sanctum relates to the side quest "Assignment: N7: Blue Suns Base." The cluster is unlocked by completing the side quest "Assignment: N7: MSV Strontium Mule." The Ismar Frontier cluster has a single anomaly planet -- Zeona, in the Elysta system. It relates to the side quest "Assignment: Project Firewalker: Rosalie Lost" and is unlocked by downloading the Firewalker Mission Pack DLC.
