Instructions
Download a Flight Simulator X scenery file and unzip it on your computer. Several sites offer FSX scenery, including surclaro.com, simviation.com and flightsim.com.
Click the "Start" button, then select ̶0;Computer̶1; from the menu that appears. Double-click your hard drive.
Click ̶0;Program Files,̶1; then select ̶0;Microsoft Games.̶1; Click ̶0;Microsoft Flight Simulator X,̶1; then select ̶0;Addon Scenery.̶1; The Addon Scenery folder opens.
Drag the unzipped files into the ̶0;Addon Scenery̶1; folder.
Start FSX and click ̶0;Settings̶1; in the main menu.
Click the ̶0;Scenery Library̶1; button in the right menu to open the list of scenery available on FSX.
Select the ̶0;Add Area̶1; button to the right of the list. The ̶0;Addon Scenery̶1; folder opens with a list of the additional scenery in the folder.
Click the name of the folder you copied and click ̶0;OK̶1; twice. A loading bar appears on the screen showing you the progress of adding the additional scenery. The scenery is added once the progress bar reaches 100 percent and disappears.
Select ̶0;Free Flight̶1; in the main menu.
Click ̶0;Change̶1; under ̶0;Current Location.̶1;
Scroll through the available locations until you find the name of the scenery you installed and click it.
Click ̶0;Fly Now!̶1; at the bottom of the screen to fly in your new scenery.
