How to Make a Waypoint for a Space Station

"EVE Online" is an online multiplayer game set in outer space. Players assume the role of a space pilot, seeking resources, wealth and other rewards. The game world is vast, having thousands of solar systems and space stations to visit. It is helpful for navigation to set a waypoint and then set your ship on autopilot, allowing you to take the most direct route to your destination. Open your map to set a waypoint for a space station, or other location, and then press "A" to turn on autopilot.

  Load "EVE Online" and log in to your account.

  Open your map by pressing "F10" and locate the space station you wish to set a waypoint to.

  Right-click on the space station and select "Add waypoint". You may set multiple waypoints to follow.

  Open the World Map Control Panel and click on the "Waypoints" tab. This will list the waypoint route you have selected. You may move waypoints up or down on the list to change your route accordingly.

  Click the "Optimize" button to try and create the shortest possible route that will take you to all set waypoints.

  Set waypoints to safe zones that you know are secure. Alter your security status in the World Map Control Panel to change your route setting to either shorter, ignoring security risks, or longer to take precautions. You may view zones in which other players have recently been killed and use that information to set waypoints in other areas.

  Open the autopilot menu by pressing "A" and select to follow the waypoint path.

  Remove waypoints by right-clicking on each point and selecting "Remove waypoint," or remove all waypoints at once by right-clicking on the map screen and selecting "Remove all waypoints."
