How to Install Kill Sounds in Enemy Territory

"Enemy Territory" is a free downloadable PC game using the "Return to Castle Wolfenstein" game engine. Users can modify, or "mod," various facets of the game such as the sounds. You can install various sound packs, which change the sounds the game produces ̵2; such as weapon sounds and the sounds enemies make upon being killed. Mods for "Enemy Territory" are distributed via .zip file, and all mods are installed using the same steps. Windows 7 includes the tools necessary to extract a .zip file to its proper location.

Instructions

  Right-click the downloaded .zip "Enemy Territory" modification you wish to install.

  Select "Extract All" from the pop-up menu.

  Type "C:\Program Files/Enemy Territory/ETMAIN" into the "Files will be extracted to this folder" field. If "Enemy Territory" is installed on a drive other than the C drive, enter that drive letter instead.

  Click "Extract" located in the lower right corner of the extraction window. The files are now extracted to the "ETMAIN" folder.

  Launch "Enemy Territory." The kill sounds during the game should now reflect the sound pack you installed.
