In "Minecraft," every creature has a purpose. For example, all animals in the game can be used to create items that can help your character, such as shearing a sheep to get wool. As of August 2011, the complete list of animals in "Minecraft" is cow, pig, sheep and chicken. Most animals spawn at random locations throughout the game world, which can be an annoyance if you are looking for a specific type of animal for the items it has. It is possible to round up all of the animals in one central location in "Minecraft" to make gathering items easier.
