Operating System
"Angry Birds" runs on Windows XP Service Pack 2 and later versions. If you're running Vista or Windows 7, you can run "Angry Birds" without a problem. If you have Windows XP, check to see if your operating system is updated to Service Pack 2. Click the "Start" menu button, then right-click "My Computer." If "Service Pack 2" or "Service Pack 3" appears in the System section, your operating system can run "Angry Birds."
RAM
"Angry Birds" requires at least 512MB of RAM to run smoothly. To find the amount of RAM installed on your system, open the Start menu and right-click "Computer." Look next to "Installed Memory (RAM)" in the System section of the window that opens. The amount of RAM that you have appears in this row. If you don't have enough RAM to run "Angry Birds" on your PC, install an additional RAM chip on your system's motherboard.
CPU
Your computer's Central Processing Unit must be capable of running at 1 gigahertz if you want to play "Angry Birds." To see your CPU's speed rating, right-click "Computer" in the Start menu and select "Properties." The CPU's speed appears next to Processors; if the number in this row is greater than 1GHz, your system can run "Angry Birds." Otherwise, you will need to either upgrade your CPU or play "Angry Birds" on a different computer.
Graphics Card
To play "Angry Birds" on your PC, your system's graphics card must support at least version 1.3 of the OpenGL standard. If your video card does not support this version, "Angry Birds" gives you an "OpenGL renderer not supported" error message when you run it. Download and install the latest drivers for your graphics card from the manufacturer's website to fix this problem. If you still get the error message, your card may not support OpenGL 1.3. Consult the card's manual or the manufacturer's website for the version of OpenGL it supports. If you can't find this information, download and run the GLview utility. Click the "Extensions" tab in GLview, then look under Version.
