How to Virtually Walk Through an FS9 Aircraft

"Flight Simulator 2004," also known as "FS9," is the ninth version of Microsoft's "Flight Simulator" series. Players can control a variety of aircraft as they fly through a virtual recreation of our planet. One of the features unavailable upon release was the ability to get out of the pilot's chair and walk around your airplane. But thanks to a strong community, a modification for "FS9" has been released called "Active Camera 2004" that allows you to do just that.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to Anticyclone's website, at anticyclone.be and download Active Camera 2004. Extract the downloaded file with Win Zip or Win RAR.

    • 2

Double-click the ".exe" file within the extracted folder to install the modification.

    • 3

Start up "Flight Simulator 2004." Once in game, you can hold your middle mouse button and move the mouse to look around your cockpit. Pressing key on your number pad will allow you to move around the plane. 8 moves you forward, 2 moves you back, 4 moves you left, and 6 moves you right.
