How to Make a Tibia Server

"Tibia" is a free-to-play massively multiplayer online role-playing game that allows people to explore a two-dimensional Medieval fantasy world. Players choose from one of four different character classes, meet up with others playing around the world, and explore while defeating monsters and solving puzzles. It is possible to create your own server --- a copy of the "Tibia" world without the thousands of other players that usually inhabit the game. This creates a more private experience for players who want to explore the world by themselves or with a few friends.

  Download the server software from the "Tibia Hub" website.

  Extract the file to any location on your computer using Win Zip or Win RAR.

  Open the extracted folder and locate the "config.lua" file. Right-click on it, select "Open With ..." and click on "Notepad."

  Locate the line "IP =" within the open Notepad file. Input your IP Address next to the "=" symbol. Your IP Address can be found by going to the "What Is My IP?" website.

  Save the "config.lua" file and close it.

  Open the ".exe" file next to "config.lua." It will have a different name depending on the server software you downloaded. Double-clicking this file will start the server and allow anyone to join after you give them your IP Address.
