How to Change Your Traits in Fallout: New Vegas

When you create a character in Fallout 3: New Vegas, you have a limited amount of time in which you can decide to change the basic traits of the character before they become permanent. If you want to change any of your skills or perks in the game, you must make these changes when prompted by the game to do so, otherwise you will be unable to change them again.

Instructions

  Travel out of the starting location in New Vegas (the Doctor's house) and travel to the south, towards Primm.

  Continue walking until you see an on-screen notification popup that asks you if you want to continue into the wasteland or make changes to your character.
- 3
  Select the "Modify Character" option, then select what values you want for your traits before clicking "Next," then "Close" to commit the changes.
- 4
  Continue walking, and when you are asked again if you want to continue or not select the option to continue.
