How to Disable the Joystick in Bad Company 2

"Battlefield: Bad Company 2" is a first-person shooter developed for the PC. The game allows you to fight on foot, as well as drive armored vehicles and pilot helicopters. While you can use a joystick to control vehicles when playing "Bad Company 2," your keyboard and mouse are other options. To completely disable the joystick control scheme in "Bad Company 2," simply remove control functions assigned to it.

     Select "Options" from the main menu.

     Click on "Control Settings" to access the control schemes.

     Click on an action assigned to the joystick.

     Press "Escape" on the keyboard when asked to assign a new key to the function. This will clear the action assigned to the joystick. Clear all key bindings in this manner until none remains assigned to the joystick.
