How to Launch Rockets in Fallout: New Vegas

If you follow the main quest of Fallout 3: New Vegas, one of the early quests involves helping a friendly group of ghouls repair and launch a set of rockets near the town of Novac. While the process of launching the rockets is relatively simple, it can be confusing for those new to the game since you have to travel to two different locations to repair the rockets before they can be launched.

Instructions

  Travel out of the rocket factory once you have spoken with Jason Bright and received your repair instructions from his assistant.

  Travel east towards Novac, then go into the Dinky the Dino Gift Shop and speak with the owner. He will then give you several model rockets, which contain a radioactive fuel required to repair the ghouls' rockets.

  Head south of Novac until you reach a junkyard. Speak with the woman sitting outside the junkyard, and she will offer to sell you a set of rocket controls for 500 caps. Purchase these controls, then head back to Jason Bright.

  Speak with Jason's assistant, who will use the parts to repair the rockets.

  Travel to the top of the rocket launch facility (go straight up the stairs after speaking with Jason's assistant) and press "E" at the controls to launch the rockets now that they are repaired.
