How to Output to XNA Format

Microsoft offers people aspiring to become video game designers the chance to achieve their dreams through the XNA software development program. As with any development program, you must compile your written code and test your progress to ensure no game-breaking problems occur. Compiling the code outputs it into code only XNA can read, and you must be in the XNA program to test it.

Instructions

    • 1

Double-click the XNA icon on your desktop. Wait a few minutes for the program to fully load.

    • 2

Press "Ctrl" and "O." Load the game you want to test.

    • 3

Click "Test" in the menu bar.

    • 4

Select "Compile and Run." Wait for the code to fully compile and launch a new screen, letting you test your game as you have written it.
