What Drops Maple Spears in MapleStory?

The Maple Soul Spear is a weapon for warrior-class characters in the massively multi-player online role-playing game, MapleStory. The spear requires a level-64 warrior for use and has an attack range of 76 to 95 hit points. The Soul Spear will boost your warrior's strength between two and four points and increase accuracy up to 40 points. The design of the spear includes an orange maple leaf on the shaft, a dark handle and a pointed silver blade.

Jr. Yeti
- The Jr. Yeti is a smaller version of the Yeti monster that can be found in the frozen tundra of El Nath. This level 50 monster looks like a puff of white and arms appear from either side when you attack it. Aside from the Maple Soul Spear, Jr. Yetis drop bronze Nordic helms for warriors and a variety of armor and weapons for other classes. Because Jr. Yeti is an ice element monster, it is weak against fire skills such as those that fire magicians have. This monster earns you 135 points of experience per kill.
Axe Stump
- Regular Axe Stumps, which you can find around the cities of Perion and EIlinia on Victoria Island, is a lower level monster that drops the Maple Soul Spear. This monster looks like its cousin, the regular stump, with an axe stuck in its head. At Level 30, the Axe Stump only has 300 health points and should be relatively easy to kill for any character at a higher level. The Soul Spear is not the only Maple item that the Axe Stump drops; you can also pick up the Maple Kandayo, a claw for assassins that use throwing stars from this monster.
Straw Target Dummy
- You can find the Straw Practice Dummy in the practice field maps on the Mu Lung continent. You can travel her from Orbis via ship or from Herb Town on the Crane. Both modes require a small fee in mesos. Straw Target Dummy looks like a basic scarecrow with a target on its chest. Like the Jr. Yeti, Straw Target Dummy is level 50 and has 135 hit points. This monster is not fast but if it hits you, will knock you back considerably. The monster drops sapphire ores, straw dolls, scrolls for modifying spears and health and magic potions in addition to the Maple Soul Spear.
Anniversary Cake
- Every year around the anniversary of MapleStory's advent (the beginning of May), Anniversary Cakes, pies and other unusual monsters make an appearance in the game. Nexon provides temporary quests and activities that provide you with special items, many of which are MapleStory-themed weapons and armor. The Anniversary Cake is a low level monster, at level 15, with only 250 hit points unlike the Cake Monsters that have extremely high hit points. This makes the Anniversary Cake easier and quicker to kill. The location of the cake varies year to year and you cannot find it when the anniversary events end.
