How to Get Sonic to Run Fast in Remix

Sonic the Hedgehog is SEGA's most iconic and popular character, starring in more than 30 games since his debut in 1991. "Sonic Fan Remix" is a fan-developed game in the style of the Genesis-era Sonic games, with 2D gameplay and a balance between speed and platforming. One of the gameplay systems this fan game attempts to replicate is Sonic's momentum control, which forces him to gradually build speed.

  Back up to the farthest left edge of the platform or strip Sonic is standing on. Sonic builds up speed much faster if he has a clear "runway."

  Run to the right, heading for springs, loops or ribbons. These increase your forward momentum and propel Sonic faster than he could normally achieve running in a straight line.

  Jump over or through enemies. You aren't required to attack enemies, so avoid them. Otherwise, getting hit stops your momentum and makes you vulnerable by causing you to lose all your coins.
