Instructions
Exit out of other programs before playing Myst. Each program you run on your computer uses memory -- the more memory used, the slower your computer runs. If too much memory is used, Myst will either freeze or automatically shut down.
Insure that you have the latest drivers for your video card and Direct X. To do this, you'll need to go to your video card manufacturer's website, click on the name of your driver, and check for updates.
Reinstall Myst. At some point a Myst file may have gone missing or become corrupted. Reinstalling a program replaces any missing files and repairs corrupted ones. Fortunately, your saved games won't be deleted when you reinstall the program.
